Activity 1

When we started Actvity 1 i thought that the black dirt would get the hottest because black attracts to the sun more than any other colors. Duriing activity 1 i learned how snow water and black dirt heats and cools by putting each in a styrofoam bowl and we put a light over them and let them heat up for 10 minutes and recorded the change and the we let it cool down for 10 minutes. After we had put the light on the three elements then i learned that black dirt heats faster than water or snow. Water and snow didn't change much more than .1-.2 degrees within the 10 minute heating then 10 minutes cooling time period. Heating and cooling relates to La Nina because La Nina is characterized by unusually cold ocean temperatures in Equatorial Pacific. It is cold because it is a cold ocean current no a warm ocean current like El Nino.
